Fong Wai Leong, CEO

Wai Leong is a corporate and business leader who has 29 years of experience in investment, corporate and business management, and  merger and acquisition.

 

He was the Group CEO of a public company listed on the main market of Bursa Malaysia for 9 years.  He expanded the footprint of the business from Malaysia to Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia through acquisition and organic growth.  

 

He owned businesses in investment and advisory services in Devonshire Capital and Equinox Capital for 11 years.   He has advised on investments, IPOs and M&As in China, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea and South America. He specialised in investment in Asia that covered origination, due diligence, deal negotiation and execution.

 

He started his career as a professional working for KPMG as an Auditor for 4 years and for CIMB as an Investment Banker for 4 years.

 

He also sat on the Boards of Directors of public and private companies in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Cambodia.

 

He is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
